PROJECT I:

"MACHINE" SERIES:
The "machine" series is a collection of images that combine the variation of techniques discovered throughout this project. They all present photographic portraits with each individual displaying emotionless expressions. The hidden layers beneath the skin's surface reveals a vast network of digitally generated images and photographs, exposing hidden robotic-like machinery. The images depict neurodegenerative disease in a metaphorical sense, comparing the complexities of the brain to modern technologies.

"BRAIN"
The aim for this project was to explore neurodegenerative diseases and different forms of brain damage by distorting photographic portraiture through the media of collage and digital manipulation. The desired outcome was to capture loss in identity as well as depicting a faulty, collapsing state of thought.

"BOUQUET" SERIES:
The "Bouquet" series of artworks juxtaposes the previous set of images and embraces the sheer vastness and capacity of the mind, depicted through elements of the natural world exploding out of the heads of each individual.

"ICON" WORKS:

Icon Works: these set of works were focused as more of a design based series, removing the identity of each character by warping the faces of each individual and generalising each figure as the same.
